The movie released in 467 theatres throughout the united states and Canada If the film's chart ranking holds up after updated box office receipts are reported on Monday, it will be the #3 film at the domestic box office below another new film, Glass, and The Upside, but above the fifth weekend of Aquaman.

Box Office Mojo reports that the film has a five-day total of US$21,077,471. The total already ranks the movie #3 in an all-time chart of anime movie in united states and Canada, the first two movies are 1999’s pokemon: the first movie and Pokemon 2000: the movie.

The movie already earned US$65 million outside the united states and Canada. The movie itself earned US$32 million in only in Japan. The combined domestic and foreign total is nearly US$87 million.

Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama wrote the script and designed the characters. Tatsuya Nagamine (One Piece Film Z) directed the film, Naohiro Shintani served as animation director, and Kazuo Ogura served as art director. Norihito Sumitomo composed the music, and Daichi Miura performed the film's theme song "Blizzard."
